Join us for an evening of wine, hors d’oeuvres, and gathering benefiting Canine Companions for Independence® and its mission of providing highly-trained assistance dogs to children, adults and veterans with disabilities free of charge.
Trained in up to 50 commands, these exceptional dogs bring both functional support and unconditional love to Texans with disabilities. From picking up dropped items, to opening doors, to turning on and off lights, these dogs help with these and many other daily tasks and increase confidence and independence for their human partners.
Canine Companions has six regions across the country. The South Central Region Kinkeade Campus opened just two years ago to serve the state of Texas. A growing community in the state, Canine Companions is looking to enhance awareness, recruit puppy raisers, and raise funds to continue to grow and place more dogs with Texans who could benefit from their assistance.
