  • BOURGOGNE BLANC

    Tasting notes
    Nose highly aromatic with notes of exotic fruits.
    Mouth well-fruited and supple with white peach aromas.
    A refreshing wine to be drunk within 2-3 years.
    Terroir
    A blend of grapes from different Mâconnais locations: La Roche-Vineuse, Prissé, Chaintré – all Quaternary clay-limestone soils.
    Culture
    Grape variety: Chardonnay
    Planting density: 8,000 vines per hectare
    Average yield: 50 hl/ha
    Picking by hand
    Vinification
    Direct pressing of whole crop.
    Settling: 60% in stainless steel vats and 40% in oak barrels.
    Complete malolactic fermentation.
    Racking followed by light filtration and bottling.
    Elevage: 9 months. No finings.

  • MÂCON LA ROCHE-VINEUSE

    Tasting notes
    Beautiful pale gold colour.
    Highly-fruited nose on the theme of exotic fruits.
    In the mouth, the minerality of its terroir is fully expressed.
    Good balance between alcohol and acidity.
    A refreshing wine to be drunk young.
    Terroir
    Quaternary clay-limestone soil (Bathonian, Bajocian)
    Exposure: south to south-west
    Altitude: 230-280 m
    Slope 5% to 20%
    Culture
    Grape variety: Chardonnay
    Planting density: 8,000 plants per hectare
    Average yield: 60 hl/ha
    Picking by hand.
    Soil working.
    Vinification
    Direct pressing of whole crop and very gentle settling.
    85% undergoes alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats and 15% in oak barrels.
    100% malolactic fermentation. Bottling follows 18 month’ elevage and light filtration.
    No finings.

  • SAINT-VÉRAN

    Tasting notes
    Fine green-gold colour
    Nose: white flowers (mayflower).
    Mouth: a supple and elegant wine with attractive aromatic freshness.
    Best drunk on the fruit at 2-3 years.
    Terroir
    Quaternary clay-limestone soil (Bathonian)
    Exposure: southerly
    Altitude: 220 m
    Slope: 5%
    Site favours very early growth
    Culture
    Grape variety: Chardonnay
    Planting density: 8,000 plants per hectare
    Average yield: 50 hl/ha
    Picking by hand
    Soil working, no herbicide
    Vinification
    Direct pressing, gentle settling, alcoholic and malolactic fermentations in oak barrels (new – 4 years old).
    10 moths’ elevage in barrel, racking, light filtration, bottling.
    No fining.

  • MÂCON LA ROCHE-VINEUSE ROUGE

    Tasting notes
    The wine has an intense, deep colour.
    Highly concentrated in the mouth with velvety tannins.
    Excellent aromatic expression featuring spices (pepper) and cherry.

    Quaternary limestone-clay soil (Middle Bathonian)
    Exposure: westerly
    Altitude: 250 m
    Slope: 5%
    Culture
    Grape variety: Gamay
    Planting density: 8,000 plants per hectare
    Average yield: 35 hl/ha
    Picking by hand
    Vinification
    Triage on sorting table.
    50% de-stemmed before vatting. Maceration in open wooden vats with cap-punching once a day and one pumping-over.
    Duration of vatting, 13 days, then pressing and running into barrels. Malolactic fermentation in barrel.
    After 8 months’ elevage in barrel, racking, then light filtration on Kieselguhr before bottling.
    No fining.
