Expressive Arts and Mindfulness Workshop
Are you yearning for something CREATIVE and FUN to help alleviate stress and decompress? Do you have an interest in exploring your creativity while making connections and drawing insight from within? In this workshop, the instructor will guide you in the process of finding your voice and trusting it, allowing your inner light to shine through. Expressive Arts is for anyone who wants to loosen up and explore their creativity in a more authentic way. All experience levels are welcome and the focus is on PROCESS, rather than the end result.
What is Expressive Arts?
Expressive Arts is the practice of using painting, poetry, imagery, drama, storytelling, dance, music, movement, dreamwork, guided meditation, and visual arts, all together in an integrated way, to foster human growth, and development.
During this workshop, you will be invited to explore your creativity and imagination through the process of art painting. Art painting is the process of adding color, images, quotes, words, and anything else that you may wish onto a glass or canvas to express yourself. Participants will have two painting options to choose from and can make either a wine glass or a canvas. The facilitator will introduce a variety of methods and art techniques to help participants loosen up and play. Art painting can serve as a soothing and self-reflective activity to help you explore and delve into the deepest layers of yourself.

The creative process of art making has been used as an effective tool to improve concentration and enhance the well-being of people. When you engage in art expression, you apply your human creative skill and imagination. Art making can also help regulate your blood pressure and your heart rate.

Participants will receive handouts with additional information about the benefits of expressive arts. This workshop is for everyone interested in expressive arts regardless of experience.
