Take a trip with us to France – no passport needed! On May 31st, 2019 at The Art of Wine take flight with us as we learn the history of French wines that span back over 2600 years ago.

French wines date back to the founding of Massalia in the 6th century BC by Phocaeans with the possibility that Viticulture existed much earlier. The Romans did much to spread viticulture across the land they knew as Gaul, encouraging the planting of vines in areas that would become the well-known wine regions of Bordeaux, Burgundy, Alsace, Champagne, Languedoc, Loire Valley, and Rhone.

Satisfy your inner sommelier in this two-hour workshop-style class taught by certified international sommelier Michael Flynn. Discover the intricacies of wine & food with Flynn like why certain food and wine pairings work while others don’t, and how grape growing practices vary from one region to another. Flynn holds the advanced diploma from the Court of Master Sommeliers.
